General membership Meeting #2 - Picnic

Dana Angling Club Members, It's time for the DAC Picnic and the second General Meeting for 2026 that will be held by the picnic tables, Site 23, located outside of the Dana West Marina building (Use Link or see attached Map)

** Yearbooks will be handed out. *** Bring a Lawn Chair **

This meeting will have Breck Girot of Hogan's Tackle covering tuna techniques and tackle, sharing his vast knowledge on the topic.

Board & Brew sandwiches, chips, drinks and cookies will be covered by the club.

We will wrap up the meeting with our raffle, so bring some cash and take home some prizes.

The Halibut Tournament runs May 16 through May 17.

This is a line class tournament with 30 pound maximum line class.

Please see the tournament flyer for all rules.

Send line samples to Bob Waters house in Laguna Niguel. Weigh slips must be submitted within 5 days of catch.

Jason Bibelheimer, fishing on his beautiful Viking Bikini Bottom caught a 97.9 pound Blue Fin Tuna at the Knoll on 5-9-2026 to claim the First Tuna Flag for 2026.

The All Species tournament starts on April 25 to May 3rd, 2026.

Heaviest Fish wins. 1 point per pound. No line class. You can submit more than 1 weigh slip, but only your largest fish will count.

Please see the tournament flyer for all rules. Submit weigh slips within 5 days of catch.

Please watch weather reports before fishing.

Come join us for our first general membership meeting of the year being held at Dana Point Yacht Club. Starts at 6PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Food provided by DAC. No host bar. Three speakers and raffle to follow. Hope to see you there.
